Couple of questions:

 1 Does the Jumper need to be on J3 or J4 for serial connection?
 2 How long after powering the device does the == Executing boot script in 1.000 seconds - enter ^C to abort
 appear? It is surprisingly quick. If your serial connection is working, it will boot up like a regular machine.

On my thecus, I didn't change the hostname, as described in the directions. "Thecus2100" as a hostname causes the system to hang. I finally got around this by wrestling with my homegrown null cable. This is a pretty bad thing and I recommend to make the hostname change more obvious in the directions, for impatient people like me. :-)

NOTE: Martin emailed me saying that bad hostnames will simply be ignored in the next installer release.
